Job Summary
The University of Kentucky College of Nursing Graduate DNP Program is seeking a Special Title Series (tenureeligible) Assistant/Associate/Professor (openrank). This position is an onsite 12month appointment with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 7080 Teaching and Advising 020 Clinical Practice Activities 15 Research and Scholarly Activity and 5 Service/Professional Development which will be reviewed annually. We anticipate a start date of July 1 2025 but no later than October 1 2025. This position based in Lexington KY and will assist in MSN / DNP program instruction needed to expand and resource the Healthcare Systems Leadership Program ENL specialty program in the College of Nursing. This position requires an individual to provide teaching advising and mentoring related to Healthcare Systems Leadership and Executive Nurse leadership. Contributions to scholarly practice and in advancing nursing professionalism as an advanced practice nurse. Position responsibilities include designing implementing and evaluating didactic and clinical courses in the Colleges Graduate Nursing programs planning and evaluating student clinical experiences and advise students in the DNP program. This position requires the candidate to serve as a liaison between the College and clinical agencies in which student placements occur and participate as an active inter professional team member. Collaboration with UK Healthcare providers administrators and staff is required to assess develop and evaluate strategies targeted at leadership areas of nursing. Candidate is expected to participate in the assessment planning and implementation and evaluation of applicable programs projects scholarship and research anticipating the submission of manuscripts for publication and presentations of scholarly activities in peerreviewed venues. Participation as an investigator or as a coinvestigator on evidencebased practice or research projects and grant proposals. The required education and experience include an earned PhD or DNP nursing degree with demonstration of expertise in nursing administration and evidencebased practice. Active Kentucky license as a registered nurse required along with at least 5 years of practice and academic experience.
