Job Description
- Provide specialized and individualized inpatient rehabilitation care for adults recovering from severe injury or illness (e.g. stroke brain injury neurological/orthopedic/trauma/spinal cord injury amputation).
- Deliver comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs to maximize patient health function and quality of life.
- Work on a 40-bed state-of-the-art inpatient rehab unit with a patient ratio of 1:6.
- Responsible for assessing planning implementing and evaluating patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation and care coordination.
- Float to nearby facilities as needed to provide patient care coverage.
- Work 12-hour shifts with no call requirements; weekend hours may be required.
- Maintain required certifications (BLS) and meet minimum experience requirements (2 years preferably in IRF or Acute Rehab).
- Adhere to facility standards including wearing navy scrubs and following reporting protocols.
- Collaborate closely with supervisor and healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
- Exhibit a hard-working and dedicated personality to meet the demands of acute rehabilitation nursing.
- Support patients throughout their recovery journey with empathy clinical expertise and a commitment to individualized care plans.
