Job Description
This position reports to Mountain Community Transit Operations Supervisor and is not a Brundage Mountain employee. *
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that the vehicles which are driven are operated within the schedule times and locations assigned by the Operations Supervisor
- Ensures that transportation vehicles are carefully handled and are checked for maintenance defects prior to operating the vehicle according to the daily equipment condition checklist form
- Observes all of the safety rules and regulations established by the transit system.
- Observes all the traffic rules and laws established in the jurisdiction in which the driver operates
- Looks at all times to the safety interest and convenience of the riding public and contract customers.
- Ensures conduct is in the manner consistent with the best professional standards of courteous interaction with the riding public other members of the public colleagues and supervisors
- Ensure familiarity with and compliance to the rules and regulations provided in all related transit department documents personnel handbook operations manual and the verbal and written instructions of designated supervisors which are appropriately directed
- Follows a policy of professional and complete uniform dress and appearance as detailed in the operations manual and as required by the personnel handbook
Experience and Certification:
A valid Idaho CDL with passenger endorsement and current DOT medical card are required.
All applicants must submit a current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) or Driving Record from the Idaho DMV with the job application.
