Amazon has an immediate opening for a Program Manager in our Amazon corporate office. This role will focus on the Voice of the Customer for Amazon IT Services. The Program Manager delivers complex medium to large scale projects from initiation through delivery. Your focus is on crossfunctional projects that serve major parts of the business are business critical and may be global in nature. You may lead other program managers for large projects and recommend improvements in the way projects are scoped tested and deployed across the company. This will require you to communicate across departments as an authority on project issues to business managers engineers and executives. You will also support critical relationships with customers and negotiate agreements with suppliers or other external partners. This role will require you to discover improve and invent mechanisms to engage our internal customers gather feedback and help drive initiatives to improve the overall customer experience of IT.
As the Program Manager you will collaborate with technical and business team members to create products/features or processes. You are the primary escalation point for project team members. You understand the programs customers and advocate on their behalf communicating business objectives to team and stakeholders to deliver the best product/feature or system/process with most efficient use of resources and technologies. You manage the creation of product/feature prototypes. You will write clear and detailed functional specifications based on complex business requirements and serve as an authority on project issues to business managers engineers and other program managers.
3 years of program or project management experience 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements Experience working cross functionally with tech and nontech teams
3 years of driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience 3 years of driving process improvements experience Experience in stakeholder management dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization Experience building processes project management and schedules
