About the role
Thiess Mount Pleasant Operation has an exciting opportunity for highly motivated Auto Electricians to join our Field Maintenance Team. This is a great opportunity to advance your knowledge & Skills in this area.
You will work a lifestyle roster 5/4 4/5 5/5 12hour days nights and weekend work you will be part of a team that strives for the best in fleet maintenance and management
Key Role Requirements:
- By joining the Field team you will need to be energetic can think quickly and work fluently across the small but energetic team
- Perform the servicing breakdown repair and maintenance of largescale mobile mining equipment including Liebherrand 9350 Excavators and Komatsu PC7000 Excavator Cat and Terex drill fleet CAT 793 and Komatsu 930 Trucks Track Dozers and other ancillary equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing lubrication and maintenance systems documentation.
- A strength and ability to source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals technical bulletins OEM and computerbased systems
- Running data power radio and GPS antenna cables through bulkhead panels and access both inside and outside production equipment compartments on heavy mining machinery
- Provide high quality installations including mountings wiring and testing of equipment
- Ensure all activities are completed in a safe manner.
About you
- Trade qualified Auto Electrician with 2 to 3 years post trade experience in the mining industry
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007
- Experience in the abovementioned fleet and open pit exposure
- Electrical supervisors/contractors license as issued by the Department of Fair Trading
- Experience in maintaining and fault finding on solar systems wireless networks machine monitoring systems and GPS systems would be advantageous
