Providence Medical Center in Kansas City Kansas is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Telemetry Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Telemetry LPN will provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and support under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patients on telemetry units ensuring continuous cardiac monitoring and accurate interpretation of telemetry data.
Administer medications treatments and care plans as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Perform routine nursing tasks including vital signs measurement wound care IV therapy (as per scope of practice) and other necessary patient care activities.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly in the electronic health record system.
Respond to changes in patient conditions promptly and escalate concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding cardiac health and care plans.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING
1. Current and valid state license
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. IV certification upon hire (state specific)
