As the Pastoral Care Practitioner you will take a lead role honouring this legacy and in nurturing the commitment of all to the mission and values of StVincentsCareCarseldine.
We are looking for a compassionate spiritual and professional person to join the Pastoral Care team working with the Facility Manager and care team to respond effectively to the diverse emotional spiritual and religious needs of our residents and their families. Applicants must have a sound understanding of our Mission and a genuine commitment to the service of the aged vulnerable and poor.

This will be a permanent part time position working 60.8 hours per fortnight across 45 days each week. Ordinary hours of work will be between 8am and 5pm MonFri.
Things that work for us:
Attainment of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) qualification or equivalent training in the care of the sick the dying and the grieving (Essential);
Familiarity with Catholic culture ritual theology tradition and worldview (essential)
Relevant pastoral experience in a similar clinical/care/education environment (highly regarded)
Tertiary studies in Theology (highly regarded)
Tertiary studies in Mental Health (highly regarded)
Demonstrated ability to promote Catholic ethos (highly regarded)
National Police Certificate (within the last 6 months)
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
Ability to build rapport trust empathy or strong relationships
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Respect and sensitivity in ministry to persons of various religious cultural and ethnic backgrounds Life Philosophies and Faith Traditions
Competent technology and computer skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
