Job Description

As a Supply Chain Buyer you ll be at the center of procurement and planning balancing vendor relationships inventory levels and purchasing timelines to keep production running smoothly. From forecasting demand to resolving quality concerns your decisions will directly impact product availability compliance and costefficiency in the fastmoving OTC pharmaceutical space.

Job Overview

Employment type: Indefinite Term Contract
Shift: Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM EST
Work setup: Remote / Work From Home

Your Daily Tasks
  • Manage relationships with suppliers
  • Create estimates and supply forecasts for vendors
  • Communicate priorities item availability orders and delays
  • Relay quality issues and track resolutions
  • Manage inventory levels for components supplies and miscellaneous items
  • Create and send purchase orders
  • Leverage planning systems to execute effective purchasing strategies
  • Coordinate with Sourcing Production and Quality teams to meet component specifications
  • Monitor items throughout various lifecycle phases
  • Review purchased inventory levels regularly to meet standard goals
  • Develop reports for management to efficiently assess business performance
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to resolve invoice and accounts payable issues
  • Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned

Requirements

The Qualifications We Seek

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • 2 5 years of relevant industry experience in purchasing sourcing or procurement
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of current SCM concepts and principles
  • Experience working in crossfunctional teams
  • Proficiency in MS Excel MS Suite and MRP systems
  • Working knowledge of Oracle EBusiness preferred
  • Experience in a regulated or cGMP environment preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong problemsolving abilities and sound judgment
  • Confidence to voice concerns and raise issues when necessary
