About this role:
Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartners missioncritical sales priorities and works with sales leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team youll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartners sales force which delivers approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and is working to drive sustained doubledigit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5000 associates who sell to every major function industry and market sector around the world.
The role is part of the Sales & Marketing Technologies and Reporting team in GSSO. This team focuses on leveraging technologies to improve sales productivity and the overall seller experience.
The Sales Data & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for supporting data and reporting for Gartners sales training programs. This includes building reporting solutions for various sales training programs managing data and processes and leveraging data to drive strategic decisionmaking to optimize sales training effectiveness and sales performance. This role requires a deep understanding of data analytics process optimization and business intelligence tools to provide actionable insights that enhance sales training and sales productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills experience with data visualization and the ability to communicate complex data findings to stakeholders at various levels.
What youll do:
Effectively uses standard statistical tools methods and techniques to accurately compile and analyze data.
Participates in hypothesis generation for key drivers of business performance and demonstrates ability to develop hypotheses based on data and business knowledge.
Understands appropriate visualizations for different types of data and reporting.
Building effective analytical solutions in various BI tools.
Researches assesses and recommends operational and/or technical solutions to analytic processes.
Identifies opportunities and recommends actions that provide value and drive improvement for the business.
Ability to distill complex analyses into clear concise key themes and findings.
Ensures consistent data quality across all dashboards analyses and reports being produced.
Maintains strong attentiontodetail implementing checks and following best practices to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Ability to effectively use Google Sheets Excel Power Query and Power BI for data manipulation analysis and visualization for informed decisionmaking.
Effectively manages time by prioritizing the most critical activities ensuring that highimpact tasks are completed efficiently.
Demonstrates adaptability by changing ideas and perceptions based on new information and experiences; shows willingness to adapt and grow in response to feedback and challenges.
Identifies operational problems and modifies processes services tools and techniques.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess sales training effectiveness.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of sales training data by implementing data governance best practices.
Establishes relationships with the key business partners.
Support adhoc analytical requests and projects as needed.
What youll need:
Bachelors degree in business Analytics Data Science Engineering Statistics Economics or a related field.
Minimum 35 years of experience in Sales Analytics Business Intelligence or a related analytical role.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau or similar platforms.
Proficiency in data analytics tools: SQL DAX Power Query(M).
Knowledge of R Python Alteryx SOQL and SAQL etc. is a plus.
Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Knowledge of Sales processes Customer 360 CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and sales performance metrics.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey data findings to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Detailoriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
Experience with Power BI Power Query and Power Automate is preferred.
Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics techniques is a plus.
Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
Knowledge of data Integration Tools like MS Fabric MS Power Query Azure Data Factory etc. is a plus.
Familiarity with cloudbased data platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Analysis Services and Microsoft Fabric Microsoft Automate Azure Data Lake Storage etc.
