GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Camp Guernsey Billeting Office is seeking a parttime housekeeper. This position will be responsible for daily maintenance and general cleaning of all billets on base and will work Monday through Friday.Human Resource Contact:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.- Make/change bedding count and bundle sheets for linen service.
- Vacuum floors and furniture.
- Sweep mop buff or burnish floors.
- Empty trash and dust clean appliances wash windows and mirrors and clean restrooms.
- Clean wash and stock billet vehicles.
- Observe and identify areas needing repairs and submit work orders.
- Stockcustodial suppliesand replenish supplies when needed.
- Responsible for grounds around the billet area; snow removal and picking up trash.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to those with a High School Diploma and six 6 months of work experience in Buildings and Grounds or Housekeeping.
KNOWLEDGE:- Knowledge of materials supplies equipment and methods of more technical cleaning and maintenance.
- Knowledge of power and manual tools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:
High School DiplomaExperience:
06 months of progressive work experience (typically in Housekeeping)OREducation & ExperienceSubstitution:12 years of progressive work experience (typically in Housekeeping)Certificates Licenses Registrations:NoneNecessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:- Exposure to hazardous materials bodily fluids chemicals body parts biohazards potential explosives and elements.
- Must have a drivers license and be able to safely drive vehicles and operate large complex cleaning and grounds maintenance equipment.
- Required to lift up to 50 Lbs.
- The successful applicant will be required to work MondayFriday with occasional weekend work.
