We are seeking a Practitioner Health & Wellbeing(Gamblers Help) for a permanent parttime 45.6 hours fortnightly)vacancy at our Launceston.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with thecommunity and support Tasmanians in need.
This role encompasses our Gamblers Help program. The role willprovide professional and exceptional community support services toclientele accessing Health and WellbeingAddiction servicesprovided by Anglicare in line with Anglicares PracticePrinciples and Framework of Practice.
What you will be doing in this role:
- Facilitate assessment and planning processes with people accessing our services and identify their personal barriers and support needs and develop meaningful ways to overcome barriers and provide support;
- In collaboration with people accessing our services develop a service plan to guide the intentional support to be provided provide regular intentional support based on service plan and identified support needs review service plans and support needs regularly and revise plan accordingly;
- Counselling and exclusion support for clients
- Support people accessing our services to find sustainable and meaningful access to natural community resources services and other supports at the same time as encouraging and supporting selfadvocacy and selfdetermination;
- Providing information on a broad range of issues including but not limited to health employment income support training and skills development;
- Facilitate end of support planning with people seeking support;
- Maintain accurate file notes and statistics complete clerical administrative tasks in accordance with organisational requirements and contractual arrangements.

You must have:
- An understanding of the processes people utilise to overcome adversity/distress arising from life challenges;
- An ability to recognise and understand peoples intrinsic resourcefulness;
- Provide support in a manner consistent with Anglicares values and practice principles;
- Demonstrate high level of communication and interpersonal skills with people who access our services family/carers colleagues other service providers and stakeholders;
- Ability to work autonomously within organisational policy and procedure;
- A high level of professionalism and a willingness to develop and reflect on professional practice;
- Strong administration skills;
- Relevant degree level qualifications (Social Work Psychology Nursing Allied Health) or essentially required accreditation from a recognised institution.

The successful applicant will be required to:
- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check
- present an schedule 1 or Probity type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical:
- provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
On commencement the successful applicant will be required toundertake our structured Safeguarding Children Trainingprogram.
