Job Description
Job Position:Electrical Engineer Energy
Purpose:As an Electrical Engineer atKnobelsdorffyou will play a key role in designing analyzing andoptimizingsystem and equipment designs associated with solar energy and BESS installations. You will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and industry position will require onsite visits to collect and review customers sites and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Experience working collaboratively on projects while managing project timelines ensuring completion of projects on time.
- Knowledge of the design and constructability of the following systems: DC Solar Systems LV AC Systems MV equipment Monitoring and Communication and Grounding.
- Support in the work of designing maintaining implementing or improving electrical instruments facilities components equipment products or systems for solar energy and BESS.
- Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computerassisted design or engineering software and equipment such as string layouts voltage drop equipment layouts and more.
- Conferring with customers engineers and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards (NEC etc. and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications technical drawings or topographical maps.
- Establishing construction manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
- Ensuring compliance with NEC specifications codes or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation manufacturing construction maintenance documentation support or testing activities.
- Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
- Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
- Engage with the project team and participate in projects from design to construction.
- Experience with project management and customer relations.
- Work collaboratively in a team to design and execute complex projects under the direction of the team lead.
- Foster key strategic relationships with various partners.
- Ability to integrate and gain technical knowledge to become a reliable source of information to the engineering team.
- Ability to interface with regulatory agencies and manufacturers/distributors.
- Manage project files drawings documents & records in our database maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple complicated tasks and achieve a high level of .
- Willing to work occasional evenings weekends and holidays.
- Willing to travel as job requirement necessitates.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite AutoCAD Bluebeam and PV Case
Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
- 12 years experience in Electrical Engineering or related field. To include experience in proper design and constructability.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Experience in using or a desire to learn the required software.
- Knowledge of applicable codes related to electronic engineering.
- Must be selfmotivated and flexible to accommodate changes in KE business strategies
- Have entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and be accountable for project decisions and actions.
- Possess and maintain a valid drivers license that represents a history of safe & competent driving.
- Ability to pass a preemployment drug screen and criminal background check.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit stand kneel stoop walk and sit for long periods of time.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
