Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) a member of the Texas A&M University System welcomes applicants for a/anInstructional Assistant Professor (RELLIS Campus) to beginFall 2025.
TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution with over 8000 students located in Laredo Texas a vibrant and bicultural city with a population of about 250000. The university advances knowledge through research and discovery teaching and learning community engagement and public service and with an intentional focus on student success and research excellence. This position is for our offcampus instructional site at the RELLIS Campus in Bryan/College Station Texas. RELLIS campus is a collaborative ecosystem built to foster advanced research technology development testing and evaluation higher education and handson career training.
Primary duties will includeteaching five courses per semester including required upperlevel courses and electives in Digital and Strategic Communication; advising students; and serving on committees. A regular schedule of attendance on the RELLIS campus and in the workplace is required. Virtual meetings with faculty at the main campus in Laredo may be required. Duties also includeattending promotional events at Blinn College RELLIS and at other sites as well as serving as the liaison between RELLIS communication students and the Department of Psychology and Communication at TAMIU. This position requires facetoface interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on the RELLIS campus and in the workplace.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold anearned graduate degree in Communication or a closely related field. If the discipline is outside of Communication 18 graduate semester credit hours in Communication are required. We strongly encourage candidates with prior experience teaching communication courses as an Instructor of Record.
