Job Description

At Amazon were embarking on an exciting journey to revolutionize how our Worldwide Grocery Store Tech (WWGST) operates and we need a visionary Senior Product Manager to lead the charge. Imagine being at the forefront of creating a unified data ecosystem that spans across all our Grocery banners and business functional areas empowering decisionmakers with trusted certified data at their fingertips.


Key job responsibilities
In this role youll be the architect of our Information Governance Program weaving together the diverse data tapestries of our various Grocery operations into a single coherent source of truth. Your mission should you choose to accept it is to break down silos harmonize data practices and build bridges between teams that have historically operated independently.

Picture yourself collaborating with a mosaic of talented professionals from data engineers diving deep into our systems to business intelligence gurus crafting insightful reports to analysts crunching numbers and fellow product managers shaping the future of our platforms. Your day might start with a strategic planning session for transitioning from thirdparty solutions to our own robust firstparty alternatives and end with you presenting to executives on how your initiatives are driving more confident databacked decisionmaking across all Grocery banners.

Youll be the champion of data quality the guardian of data use and the steward of data ownership. Your work will touch every corner of our Grocery ecosystem from the bustling aisles of Whole Foods to the innovative operations of Amazon Fresh. Youll need to navigate the complexities of crossfunctional and crossbanner work using your sharp communication skills to unite diverse teams under a common data vision.

This isnt just about implementing best practices its about defining them. As part of our Information Governance team youll have the opportunity to shape the very foundation of how Amazon WWGS uses data to drive business forward. Your impact will be felt in every datadriven decision in every banner in every market we serve.

Were looking for someone who doesnt just manage products but drives data governance. Someone who can see the big picture of how certified trusted data can transform an organization yet isnt afraid to roll up their sleeves and dive into the details.

About the team
Amazon Grocery Data and Technology (GDT) team is the central data team for Amazon Grocery consisting of engineering teams (BIEs/DEs/SDEs). We are the direct owner of (a) Infrastructure and services used for reading processing reporting and enrichment of grocery data; (b) Productivity tools; (c) Reporting solutions for worldwide 1P and 3P customers across the following businesses: Amazon Fresh Grocery (AFG) Whole Foods Market (WFM) Amazon Go Amazon Grocery Partners etc.

Bachelors degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience managing technical products or online services
Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executivelevel prioritization and planning
Experience with technologies like Hadoop Rules based systems and Machine learning
Experience in data analytics and data engineering.
Experience in building and driving data governance standards

Experience in using analytical tools such as Tableau Qlikview QuickSight
Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
Exposure to In store Retail data analytics
