Job Description
As a Software QA Manager III (QAM) within the EDS (Emerging Devices Software) team you will work closely with the Product Management Software Development Engineering Hardware Engineering User Experience Design and Customer Support groups to understand the product vision requirements and customer usage models and develop appropriate test strategies. You will be setting the QA teams technical vision and roadmap developing and tracking project schedules. The successful Quality Assurance Manager has strong customer focus insist on highest standard and is obsessed with continuous quality improvement; they are experienced and highly committed to creating world class automation for feature testing and regression; they are able to develop and drive a highlevel strategy as well as to take a handson approach to implementing that strategy. They are dedicated to building a strong and high performing team.
Your impact will be amplified through close collaboration with core team members PMs Principal engineers (PEs)Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and software development managers. You will drive mindful discussions that lead to crisp decisions and highquality solutions ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to quality assurance.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented have strong organizational skills juggle multiple tasks at once and maintain professionalism under pressure; all while achieving high quality results. You should have deep knowledge of software engineering practices understand how software and hardware systems interact and can drive design and implementation of test strategies in highly complex and ambiguous systems. Familiarity with embedded systems is desired.
Key job responsibilities
Working with product hardware TPM and development teams to understand product vision and requirements
Understanding how all elements of the software ecosystem work together and developing QA approaches that fit the overall project strategy
Responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses
Overseeing the development and of test plans monitoring and reporting on test and quality metrics
Working with a team of quality engineering professionals to ensure the highest quality product delivery
The successful candidate is an experienced but handson manager who can build an organization and ensure it performs
. Design and develop comprehensive test automation strategies and improve QA efficiency
. Lead the Bug triage Go/No Go meetings
. Define key metrics for measuring and reporting on the quality of software products and test effectiveness.
. Supervise and Coach QA engineers providing guidance technical expertise and ensuring adherence to best practices
. You will have a profound impact on millions of customers

Although each day may bring new challenges the majority of your time we will be creating test strategies new automation test tools and infrastructure. We collaborate closely with software development teams to achieve a high quality releases that meet tight timelines without introducing new regressions or lowering product quality.

3 years of quality assurance teams management experience
Experience managing automation testers
Experience managing manual testers
Experience identifying and reviewing test plans test cases and testing results with a strong QA background
5 years of quality assurance engineering experience
Experience preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality goals
Experience transforming QA programs from manual to automation
Hands on experience in embedded and devices testing.
Hands on experience in Python or Java with indepth understanding of framework & automation development
