As a Software Development Engineer at AWS you are driving a wave of innovation and bringing sweeping changes to the way we manage our networks. You are developing software that allows us to build the most reliable available and self healing network in the world. The AWS network is composed of millions of heterogeneous network devices all of which need to be managed in a consistent manner abstracted away from platformspecific differences and reduced in complexity for our customers. The Network Spatial Data (NSD) team has an exciting charter to provide scalable platform services for building data services for the Amazon Network. The NSD team is also responsible for designing and scaling search features across AWS network devices interfaces and links and spans. We are the primary source of geospatial data and our team offers a set of APIs to share this view with the core services needed to run the AWS network.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
