The UGDSB employs a team of approximately 4000 dedicated staff who serve more than 35000 students attending a variety of programs across 65 elementary and 11 secondary schools as well as continuing education and adult learning centres in the counties of Dufferin Wellington and the City of Guelph. THE OPPORTUNITY
The Upper Grand District School Board is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team for a permanent fulltime opportunity in the ICT Infrastructure & Data Protection Analyst role. This is a 12month position to commence as soon as possible.
Reporting to the Manager of ICT Infrastructure ICT Infrastructure & Data Protection Analyst is vital in analyzing designing optimizing and securing the organizations IT infrastructure. This role ensures compliance with security standards collaborates with crossfunctional teams and aligns infrastructure strategies with organizational goals. Responsibilities include maintaining IT infrastructure developing PowerShell scripts and providing Tier3 support for complex technical issues.
The ICT Infrastructure and Data Protection Analyst designs implements and manages data protection strategies to ensure data confidentiality integrity and availability. This role involves developing data backup solutions monitoring backup processes and safeguarding data against loss and unauthorized access.
The ICT Infrastructure & Data Protection Analyst conducts risk assessments enforces data protection policies ensures compliance with industry standards and leads disaster recovery plans. Additionally the analyst also leads incident response efforts provides training on data protection threats and best practices and mentors junior team members.

HOURLY RATE: Base Hourly rate: $31.72 to $38.90 per hour; wage rate effective September 1 2024
*Labour market adjustment of 45 to be applied to base hourly rate; hourly rate inclusive of market adjustment is $46.00 to $56.40 per hour
*labour market adjustment may fluctuate based on local market.
FTE/HOURS: 1.0 FTE 35 hours per week)
