Sr Software Development Engineer - Full Stack Java

Position Summary

As a Java Software Engineer with CVS Health Platform Innovation you will participate on an eXtreme Programming (XP) Product Team of 610 people and work with the team to build highquality usable products to customers and stakeholders. You will help educate both business and technology personnel on the agile and XP development process and create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery. You will also maintain a usercentered and businessaspriority approach in design perspective and practice.

A firm understanding of Java development principles and agile methodologies is crucial for success in the role. The CVS health platform innovation scrum teams are a mix of a Product Managers and UX designers as well as highly skilled Java Engineers.

Location: Buffalo Grove IL fulltime hybrid (in office 3 days per week). Working hours are 8AM to 4:30PM Central Time.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a largescale distributed software design environment preferably in full stack development environment with strong leadership experience in Front end and backend technologies.
• 2 years of Java development experience while utilizing one or more these technologies: Spring Boot Spring MVC NodeJS Angular 8 React or similar
• 1 year of experience working in an Agilebased development environment using Agile concepts such as Continuous Integration (CI/CD) and TestDriven Development (TDD)

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud development experience
• PaaS SaaS development experience
• Frontend and/or full stack development experience utilizing a framework such as Angular or React

EDUCATION

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma 4 years relevant experience)

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual fulltime salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus commission or shortterm incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
