Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco Bay Area or New York City.

As an integral member of our fastpaced wellrounded collaborative and fun Legal & Public Policy team you will play an active role in fulfilling LinkedIns mission of connecting the worlds professionals to make them more productive and successful. 

In this role you will focus on addressing the novel and complex legal and business issues that confront a fastgrowing company committed to innovation. You will work primarily with our Sales and Marketing business negotiating digital advertising and other related media agreements with advertisers media agencies and digital advertising platforms. You will also negotiate SoftwareasaService transactions for other teams across LinkedIn. You will collaborate with our sales organization and management to identify legal risks when contracting digital ad agreements and execute solutions accordingly.

Responsibilities: 

  • Independently draft review and negotiate technologyrelated agreements for LinkedIns Marketing and Sales Solutions teams. Representative agreements include insertion orders media agreements strategic partnership agreements order forms subscription agreements data processing agreements and nondisclosure agreements. 
  • Lead negotiation calls with customers. 
  • Collaborate with LinkedIns Sales Deal Desk Finance Product and other crossfunctional teams on internal approvals and escalations to ensure sales transactions are closed on time and in accordance with internal corporate policies and processes. 
  • Act as a legal partner to the LinkedIn Marketing and Sales Solutions teams and drive new strategic projects and initiatives that impact positive business results and sales opportunities. 
  • Optimize contract templates playbooks and negotiation and management processes for the Legal & Public Policy team to create leverage and efficiency. 
  • Provide support to senior attorneys as needed. 

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • J.D. and admission to the bar or the ability to practice inhouse in your office location  
  • 3 years experience practicing as a technology transactions attorney 
  • 2 years of mixed experience in online/digital advertising cloud/software licensing and/or AIrelated transactions

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with negotiating the IAB standard terms and conditions 
  • A proficient understanding of global data privacy and security frameworks 
  • Provides exceptional customer service 
  • Exercises sound business judgment and escalates material issues to senior attorneys as needed 
  • Sense of humor and positive cando attitude 
  • Demonstrated ability to draft review and negotiate agreements independently with minimal supervision 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage various deals and stakeholders in a fastpaced environment 
  • Ability to build strong relationships with teams across various disciplines and seniority levels

The pay range for this role is $120000 to $195000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set years & depth of experience certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
