Job Description

This role will be based in Sunnyvale Mountain View San Francisco or New York.

At LinkedIn hybrid roles are performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days as determined by the business needs of the team. Remote roles are performed from the designated home work location upon time of hire and any changes to this home work location requires a review of remote status and approval. 

The Senior Marketing Data Compliance Manager 2 will lead efforts to ensure that all marketing activities comply with laws and regulations governing the use of LinkedIn member and guest data including data consent enforcement data handling and data protection. This role on the Marketing Technology team focuses on designing and maintaining compliance methods that safeguard information while preserving or enhancing effective marketing tactics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain compliance measures across all marketing data pipelinesboth internal and externalto ensure the secure collection storage processing and sharing of consumer information.
  • Negotiate the interpretation and application of data compliance law with legal partners.
  • Collaborate with internal legal counsel technical program management engineering and vertical marketing teams to formulate and implement compliance measures that align with global data privacy laws and internal policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to marketing teams on best practices for data privacy security and compliance.
  • Monitor changes in global data privacy regulations and update policies to maintain compliance across all marketing activities.
  • Manage risk assessments audits and examinations related to marketing data compliance.
  • Create and configure automated compliance monitoring processes. 
  • Oversee the implementation of workflow tools that integrate compliance checks into marketing processes.
  • Support vendor onboarding by ensuring third parties adhere to company policies for data protection and privacy.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in regulatory compliance related to data use within marketing or advertising industries at either a company implementing compliance or a compliance technology vendor.
  • Expertise in data governance regulatory compliance (e.g. the DMA the GDPR CCPA various countrylevel and U.S. statelevel laws) and privacyfirst marketing practices.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for data handling such as automated data deletion from thirdparty systems.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing compliance frameworks for datadriven marketing activities.
  • Compliance certification for data use privacy or protection such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
  • Experience with data use dependencies on firstparty and thirdparty cookies essential and nonessential cookies and tag management systems.
  • Familiarity with Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) in the context of behavioral tracking for digital advertising.
  • Familiarity with the EU AI Act.

The pay range for this role is $144000 to $ 244000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
