About this opportunity
Reporting to the Production Manager the Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing the operations of our plastic recycling plant during the afternoon shift from 2pm to 10pm Monday Friday.
This role is crucial in ensuring our production targets are met safely and efficiently.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to deliver on the daily and weekly production schedule achieving optimum production efficiencies and DIFOT.
- Ensure that all Operators understand and follow the Site SOPs.
- Hold Operators accountable for achieving all Quality standards.
- Maintain the site housekeeping standards.
- Build the capability of the team through monitoring skills and maintaining training schedules.
- Escalate any issues through the Production Supervisor to sales and logistics to ensure customer delivery ontime.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role youll have:
- Ideally have a background in plastics recycling.
- Experience in a similar industrialbased manufacturing business.
- Strong background in managing and leading small teams.
- Experience working in a 24/5 environment.
- Lean manufacturing experience.
Qualifications :
- Relevant trade background (e.g. Boilermaker fitter)
- FLT licence
