The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University invites applications for a nontenure track part time faculty lecturer in Cooperative Education.
Successful candidates will teach online graduatelevel courses related to Cooperative Education and Career Development. This position is located at the Northeastern University Vancouver Campus.
Northeastern University will not provide H1B TN O1 E3 or any other type of employment visa sponsorship for the successful applicant to this position now or in the future. Furthermore the successful applicant must be able to maintain valid work authorization in the United States throughout the entire appointment without Northeastern Universitys sponsorship for a visa.
Responsibilities
Teach graduate courses related to cooperative education and career development aimed at equipping students with the tools and knowledge to conduct an effective job search. The instructor will guide students through the process of discovering their professional identify by helping them assess personal skills interests and values and cultural influences and articulating these in a professional setting. The instructor will lead sessions resumes cover letters interviewing job search strategies professional behaviors etc.
Positions are available contingent upon enrollment.
Qualifications
Masters degree required. Work in experiential learning cooperative education career services or related field preferred. 2 years teaching experience required. Experience teaching online courses at the graduate level and working with international students is preferred.
