Job Description

Position Summary
Audiology Clinical Faculty Position The Indiana University Department of Speech Language and Hearing Sciences SLHS has a fulltime clinical faculty (nontenure track) position in audiology available at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. This position requires an AuD or PhD in audiology ASHA certification CCC A) and Indiana state licensure in audiology by the projected date of employment 8/1/23. Experience with supervision of graduate students is preferred. This position is a 12month appointment based on the Bloomington campus. The responsibilities for this position include: 1 clinical supervision of AuD students and provision of audiological services; 2 classroom teaching of clinical courses and may include teaching or teamteaching in an area of expertise; and 3 service to the department university and professional communities. The areas of expertise are open but we are particularly interested in applicants with experience with older adults hearing aids tinnitus and/or vestibular assessment and treatment. Indiana University is a highly regarded public research university and the SLHS graduate programs are ranked among the top in the nation. The Bloomington campus home to approximately 42000 students is a onehour drive south of Indianapolis. Our department is housed in a new stateofthe art facility the Regional Academic Health Center with the Speech and Hearing Clinics numerous research laboratories and is connected to a new Bloomington hospital. The proximity to the hospital and other units on campus (nursing social work and medical sciences) will foster collaborations among faculty provide interprofessional education for students and facilitate patientoriented research.
