AST/ASO PROF
The University of Florida invites applications for a tenuretrack Assistant/Associate Professor of Higher Education Administration and Policy position. The Higher Education Administration and Policy program builds upon a rich tradition of excellence in scholarship within the College of Education at the University of Florida. This faculty member will join a collaborative cohesive and energetic community of scholars within the College that is committed to highquality teaching research and service.
We seek candidates with scholarly interests focused on contemporary issues in higher education including but not limited to the following areas: college access; college student persistence completion and transfer; organization leadership and governance issues in higher education; public policies in higher education; science technology engineering and mathematics (STEM) opportunities and outcomes in higher education; and additional research areas of direct relevance to higher education administrators and policymakers. Regardless of area of study we seek a colleague who can advance knowledge in the field of higher education and enhance the research teaching and service of the Higher Education Administration and Policy program. We encourage scholars with strong methodological training in qualitative or quantitative methods to apply for this position.
The successful applicant for this tenuretrack Assistant/Associate Professor position is expected to maintain a clear systematic line of research; seek external research funding; publish in scholarly journals; present research findings at meetings of professional associations; contribute to advising and teaching especially recruiting and mentoring doctoral students. The faculty member will also engage in service to the program school college university and profession. Additionally the successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative projects through the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Floridaan interdisciplinary research center housed within the College of Education. Teaching research and service expectations are commensurate with academic rank.
This 9month tenureaccruing faculty appointment will begin in August 2025 and include the possibility of summer employment. Salary is negotiable highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
