The Role
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our clients dynamic team and play a key role in implementing infrastructure automating deployment processes and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our services. You will support the development and deployment of both cloud infrastructure in AWS and noncloud (Edge) infrastructure. Collaboration with development teams and continuous improvement of processes and tools are essential aspects of this role. This position offers a hybrid work environment in Columbia MD with opportunities for CONUS travel to customer sites in Hawaii. Compensation for highly qualified candidates can reach 215k.

What Youll Bring
* 9 years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred) with a BS in a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.
* Proficient in configuration management tools such as Terraform Ansible or Puppet.
* Knowledge of AWS services (EC2 EBS S3 Lambda) for infrastructure deployment and management.
* Experience with application and OS deployment scaling and management.
* Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as Python Bash or Go.
* Familiarity with Git and other development tools.
* Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites.
* Ability to work in a hybrid environment averaging 12 days per week in Columbia MD.
* Willingness and ability to travel up to 25 of the time to customer sites located in Hawaii.

Preferred Requirements
* Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop Spark PostgreSQL ElasticSearch Hive Drill Impala Trino Presto etc.
* Experience with containers (EKS Diode) CI/CD and Terraform.
* Willingness to perform some oncall work.
