The Teaching and Academic Resource Coordinator provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the smooth delivery of academic programs and student support services. Working closely with the Department Leadership team the role supports key teaching activities including the coordination of results assessments and examinations as well as the management of the departments PhD program. The role plays a central part in student engagement academic events and research training support. Operating with a high degree of autonomy the incumbent will drive continuous improvement initiatives refine administrative processes and contribute meaningfully to departmental planning and resource management. This is a senior role requiring sound judgement a collaborative mindset and a commitment to service excellence in a dynamic and intellectually rich academic environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the delivery of highquality teaching support services including the administration of results assessments examinations academic misconduct processes and sessional staffing while advising on policy compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Managing the administration and operational support of the Departments PhD and Honours programmes including onboarding seminar coordination student events recruitment activities financial support and associated communications.
  • Driving business process improvements and strategic planning by analysing data modelling scenarios implementing enhanced workflows supporting change initiatives and mentoring team members to ensure consistent and efficient service delivery.
  • Cultivating effective working relationships across the Department Faculty and University contributing to professional staff networks updating digital content and communications and supporting departmental leadership with highlevel administrative and operational matters.

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification combined with substantial professional experience or an equivalent blend of education and expertise gained through progressive roles in a related field.
  • Possess advanced organisational and planning abilities with a demonstrated capacity to manage complex workflows meet strict deadlines and respond effectively to shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Have proven experience in designing and implementing administrative systems and processes including the ability to analyse data interpret policy and deliver practical solutions to support operational objectives.
  • Demonstrate highlevel communication skills with the ability to prepare clear documentation convey complex information and engage confidently with colleagues senior stakeholders and external partners.
