Other Conditions:
For placement in lecturer pool beginning Fall 2024 Spring 2025 and Summer 2025. Positions are parttime temporary nontenure and contingent upon course offerings sufficient student enrollment position clearance and availability of funds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Teach assigned courses in the appropriate discipline. Course offerings are for the following:ENTO 262 Intro to Beekeeping (lecture/lab)ENTO 304 General Entomology (lecture)ENTO 350 Advanced Beekeeping (lecture/lab)ENTO 374 Insect Pest Control (lecture/lab)Other related courses as needed (lecture and/or lab)
2. Prepare course schedule syllabus and reports related to teaching and student progress.
3. Work under the supervision of discipline chairperson.
4. Maintain minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught
5. Commitment to principles of higher education and philosophy is essential.
6. Possible evening weekend and offcampus assignments and also distance learning assignments for courses taught via the Internet. (For some teaching fields openings may only be available for classes offered offcampus or taught via the Internet)
7. Other related tasks and/or duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications
- M.A. M.S. or equivalent experience (e.g. B.A./B.S. with relevant certifications and/or years of experience) in the appropriate subject area.
- Experience teaching college students in subject matter.
Desirable Qualifications
- PhD in the appropriate field.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student population.
