Position Requisition 36585

Job Summary:

The Research Services Professional position is designed to work within the Section of Maternal Fetal Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to assist with activities required to perform clinical protocols in the areas of maternal fetal medicine specifically intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR). This position will assist in maintaining standard operating procedures data collection forms and database layouts. During the enrollment phase the research services professional will perform patient screening and recruitment into the Perelman Foundation Intrauterine Growth Restriction research studies. The position will require travel to sites in Aurora (Anschutz medical campus) and Denver (John C. Hobbins Perinatal Center). This position will be supervised by the study Principal Investigators (PIs) and Perinatal Research Core manager. Formal discussions with will be held on a regular basis frequency will depend on individuals background and clinical research experience however ad hoc discussions virtually every day. Additionally large group meetings including the study investigators and staff will also be held regularly. This Research Services Professional will serve as the study investigators primary resource for data management analysis and preparation of manuscripts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with development of research protocols
  • Assist in designing and maintaining standard operating procedures data collection forms and database layouts
  • Subject screening recruitment consenting at multiple sites
  • Coordination of followup visits
  • Create/maintain research databases in REDCap Excel and OnCore
  • Perform statistical analysis on study data and/or collaborate with statisticians
  • Assist in the preparation of abstracts posters and publications

Onsite this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Intermediate Research Services Professional:

  • A bachelors degree in any field.
  • At least 1 year of clinical research or related experience

Minimum Qualifications Senior Research Services Professional:

  • Bachelors degree in any field
  • Two 2 years clinical research or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in science or health related field
  • Three to Five years of clinical research or related experience
  • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems)
  • Biostatistics experience

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Knowledge of basic human anatomy physiology medical terminology
  • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information
  • The individual must be able to utilize computers for communication data entry and completion of clinical reporting forms as required
  • Ability to operate standard laboratory equipment such as a centrifuge and phlebotomy skills are helpful
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices FDA Rules and Regulations NIH guidelines ICH guidelines and HIPAA regulations in relation to clinical research

The above hiring range represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
