Job Description
Amazon Ads Publisher Technology (PubTech) is a new exciting program that is building supplyside solutions for our content publishers to sell their inventory and maximize yield/monetization. Its our mission to empower publishers with innovative and easy to use tools for creating new and engaging customer experiences. As a member of the PubTech Ad Server Deals Team you will architect and launch high performance deals technology solutions for publishers such as Amazon FireTV Prime Video and Twitch. Were looking for curious selfstarters who want to be part of building a completely new systems and customer experiences.
Our Arlington VA (HQ2 based team is focused on designing implementing deploying and supporting:
* Lowlatency high throughput solutions to optimize monetization during realtime ad bid flow
* Automated GenAI solutions to proactively monitor for deals issues triage issues and reduce overall response times to better serve our customers.
Key job responsibilities
* Designs and independently implements key features solving difficult software problems for our publishers potentially spanning multiple areas of Amazons advertising ecosystem.
* Solves complex technical problems with simple solutions wherever possible
* Demonstrates knowledge and use of coding and testing best practices
* Influences the teams technical direction and maintains a high quality bar having a direct impact on both software quality and experience for our users
* Effectively communicates technical and nontechnical ideas to diverse audiences
* Collaborates with peers and mentors to receive guidance and acts as a mentor to others as required
* Cultivates relationships with partner teams
A day in the life
You will be working with a team of other Software Development Engineers (SDEs) on building new AIbased tooling to proactively find issues with ad delivery. You will be building services as well as realtime advertising bidflow logic to serve the right ads to customers at the right time. You will work closely with other teams within Publisher Technology (PubTech) on design and implementation of solutions. You will author design documents and present those to teams and will be expected to contribute/comment on design artifacts submitted by other SDEs. You will attend (and occasionally lead) daily standups with the engineering team. You will work with product managers to understand our publishers requirements and implement highly performant software.
About the team
We are a fast moving team who values delivering high quality software for our customers above all things.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
