As an Afternoon Teacher you will support our Lead Teachers in working with young children in our Montessori environment. The Afternoon Preschool Teacher is responsible for the supervision of children in all classroom and outdoor activities.
Specific duties include:
- Protecting childrens health and safety
- Promoting the active engagement of all children while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Responding calmly and consistently to challenging behavior
- Remaining actively engaged with children and/or other classroom responsibilities at all times
Some qualifications:
- One two years of prior teaching experience preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Willing to meet all necessary licensing requirements
- The ability to observe ask questions listen actively and give and accept feedback effectively
- A high energy level adaptability assertiveness and patience
