Stinson LLP is seeking an Attorney with experience in Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) matters to join the Energy Environmental Mining and Transportation Division in our Washington D.C. office.
Qualified candidates will have at least three years of experience in regulatory counseling or litigation on FERCrelated matters including familiarity with FERC regulation under the Federal Power Act and Natural Gas Act and knowledge of FERCs regulations procedures and organization. Previous experience working at FERC is preferred but not required. Qualified applicants will possess excellent academic credentials and have strong writing analytical organizational and communication skills. Clerkship and energy administrative and/or civil litigation experience are a plus.
In addition the successful candidate should have the following experience and skills:
An active license in District of Columbia or the ability to waive in to practice in that jurisdiction is required.

Our attorney compensation structure has two components: 1 a base salary and 2 a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. Depending on the experience level of the candidate the base compensation for this role ranges between $200000 and $250000.
