The School of Forest Fisheries and Geomatics Sciences are seeking a Federal Work Study Student Assistant that will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Administrative Human Resources and Fiscal teams. This role is ideal for a student seeking hands-on experience in office operations personnel support and departmental logistics. The student assistant will perform a range of duties that contribute to the efficiency and functionality of the order to apply you must have a valid drivers license.
Duties are not limited to:
- Assist with administrative record disposition ensuring documents are archived or destroyed according to institutional guidelines.
- Maintain the department organization room and phone directory verifying that office assignments and phone numbers are accurately recorded and displayed.
- Help with the organization and upkeep of department storage areas including inventory management and cleanliness.
- Assist in human resources support tasks such as assembling onboarding packets or helping with clerical documentation under supervision.
- Provide fiscal department support which may include filing prepare folders or delivering paperwork to fiscal staff.
- Participate in department vehicle maintenance including driving state vehicles to refuel wash or service as needed.
- Perform general office duties such as photocopying scanning data entry and supply organization.
$14.00 an hour
Possess a valid drivers license and the ability to operate state vehicles safely.
