Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Quality Control/Test Technician for panel building is responsible for ensuring the accurate assembly functionality and quality of electrical panels through rigorous testing and inspection procedures. This role involves performing detailed inspections testing panel components wiring and assemblies to confirm compliance with engineering specifications industry standards and safety regulations. The ultimate goal is to deliver reliable and highperforming electrical panels that meet both customer requirements and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Systematically quality check and prove completed Industrial Control Panels to a developed checklist.
  • Utilize UL508A UL698A and the NEC to verify builds are in compliance to the standard.
  • Perform parameter settings on a wide variety of variable frequency drives soft starters and other industrial controls type equipment.
  • Set ethernet IP Addresses on PLCs Network Switches and other network devices.
  • Create generic PLC program for test purposes and run IO test through network.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawing details pertaining to industrial controls.
  • Work closely with software and hardware engineering to provide feedback on completed projects.
  • Assembly and wiring of Industrial Control Panels.
  • Support field installation of retrofit equipment or other random needs. Travel will be at 5.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in testing/quality control in Industrial Controls or similar field.
  • 2year degree in Automation Robotics and Networking or equivalent.
  • Ability to work overtime if needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit stand kneel stoop walk and sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Will be working in close proximity to others at times.
