As an SDE II on the Alexa Proactive team within the GENIE organization youll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that combine Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI to create more intuitive and responsive conversational experiences.
In this role youll collaborate with a diverse team of experts to develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques that advance the state of the art in multimodal systems. Youll leverage Amazons vast data resources and computing power to accelerate development and drive innovation. Your contributions will help define our overall strategy from data enrichment and model optimization to system architecture and best practices.

Your typical day might involve brainstorming new approaches to improve Alexas multimodal capabilities coding and testing algorithms analyzing data to refine models and collaborating with team members to solve complex technical challenges. Youll also participate in code reviews mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical discussions that shape the future of our products.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
