Job Summary/Description:
WLOX is looking for a Multimedia Journalist who is a selfstarter with good news judgment. This person will research write edit and present news stories on air and online. Were looking for someone who will keep up with whats happening in the community investigate leads and pitch story ideas daily.
Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Write and edit stories for both TV and digital platforms
Report live on breaking news severe weather or community events
Research pitch and set up news stories
Manage tight deadlines and be able to make sound splitsecond decisions during live broadcasts
Opportunities for fillin anchoring based on interest and ability
Qualifications/Requirements:
Communications/Journalism or equivalent degree is preferred
General interest in news/current events
Ability to collaborate with other team members but also work independently and under a deadline
Knowledge of proper use of social media in covering news
Ability to lift and carry equipment including tripod camera and lights.
Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record
