Job Description

Research Associate in Geotechnical Engineering UNSW Canberra

Employment type: Parttime 21 hours per week Fixedterm contract
Duration: 2 years
Remuneration: Level A from $88290 (prorata) plus 17 super

Location: UNSW Canberra ADFA Campus

Why Your Role Matters
Based within the renowned School of Engineering & Technology this role is a researchonly position. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out tasks related to an ARC ITTCfunded research project including laboratory and field scale tests and numerical modelling publications and report writing.

Accountabilities

Who You Are (skills and experience):

A PhD in Civil/Geotechnical or Material Engineering or in an area related to soil material improvement using lowcarbon techniques.
Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.
