An exciting opportunity has arisen on a fixed term basis to join a forwardthinking team in East Midlands Shared Services as a Payroll & HR Admin Team Leader.

We provide transactional Payroll and HR Administration services to Nottingham City Council and Leicestershire County Council.

The successful applicant will be working in a deadline driven fastpaced environment where accuracy is key.

About the Role

The Team Leader is operationally responsible for the daytoday management of a busy payroll and HR admin team delivering a payroll service to Leicestershire County Council and the Leicestershire Local Government Pension Scheme as well as smaller organisations all with different requirements and deadlines.

Working closely with the Business Partners and the Service Delivery Managers you will be responsible for managing and supporting your team effectively looking for improvements and providing clear instructions and processes.

Analysis of workloads is required and collaborative working with other team leaders across the service to ensure that resources are deployed to best effect across all teams. It involves monitoring team performance providing coaching guidance and development to team members empowering them to deliver.

About You

To apply for this post you must have:

  • Experience of leading and motivating a team and have a sound payroll knowledge to include legislative information.
  • Experience of working with Oracle Fusion would be an advantage and a good understanding of MS Word and Excel is essential.
  • Able to work within a busy working environment and under pressure prioritising work to meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to respond quickly to change and the introduction of new processes as the service expands.
  • Possess people management skills and experience managing performance proactively.
  • Knowledge of developing reviewing and managing Key Performance Indicators

You must also have an understanding of and commitment to equality diversity and inclusion.
