Job Description
Join Amazons Global Logistics Technology team and help revolutionize international shipping! As a Software Development Engineer II youll tackle complex challenges in crossborder transportation optimizing millions of packages journeys across the globe. Your innovative solutions will directly impact customers sellers and operations worldwide ensuring efficient and costeffective delivery of international shipments.
Key job responsibilities
Design and develop highly available scalable distributed systems
Optimize complex logistics networks to maximize shipment efficiency and minimize costs
Create innovative solutions for international commerce and customs constraints
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to improve customer delivery options
Contribute to the architecture and direction of import and export logistics technology
A day in the life
Youll start your day collaborating with crossfunctional teams to identify and solve complex logistics challenges. You might find yourself designing new APIs to streamline customs processes optimizing algorithms for efficient route planning or mentoring junior engineers on best practices. Throughout the day youll balance handson coding with strategic discussions always keeping the customer experience at the forefront of your decisions.

2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
