The Role: C# .NET Software Engineer
Join the DRMM Team a group dedicated to enhancing and maintaining the software that powers our global remote management and monitoring (RMM) cloud service hosted on the Amazon AWS platform. Our mission is to provide a powerful central support desk equipped with cutting-edge tools to audit manage monitor and support the distributed devices of our customers.
What We Do: The DRMM solution operates by deploying an agent on Windows macOS and Linux platforms which communicates in real-time with our cloud service in AWS. This agent-based RMM system is a core component of our technology and is integral in providing efficient remote device management to customers worldwide.
A key feature of our service is remote control functionality allowing administrators to manage devices seamlessly. As part of our continued innovation you will be a crucial member of the team building our next-generation browser-based Web Remote tool. This tool developed using F# and Fable enables users to connect and control desktops from anywhere in the world delivering superior performance and reliability in real-time.
About You (Essential):
- Experience with C# and the .NET Ecosystem: Minimum of 3 years including strong proficiency with the latest versions of .NET.
- Cloud Computing Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
- Eagerness to Learn Functional Programming: Willingness to learn and apply functional programming principles particularly using F#.
- Agile Methodologies: Solid experience working with Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Good understanding of automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g. NUnit xUnit MSTest).
- Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to team collaboration.
- Adaptability and Drive: Highly motivated with a passion for learning and thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments.
- Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Version Control Systems: Proficiency with Git or other version control systems in a team-based development environment.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to streamline development processes.
Bonus Skills and Experience (Nice to Have):
- Windows Development: Proven track record of developing applications in Windows environments.
- Functional Programming Experience: Previous hands-on experience with F# or other functional programming languages.
- Real-Time Communication Technologies: Experience with WebSockets and/or WebRTC for building real-time communication solutions.
- Remote Control Software Development: Familiarity with remote access or control software such as TeamViewer.
- Video Streaming: Experience with video streaming protocols and technologies.
- Frontend Development: Experience with modern web development frameworks particularly React.
- Open Source Contributions: A history of contributing to open-source projects demonstrating a passion for collaborative coding.
