Position Description
Position Overview:
Produces maps analyses applications and programs to support users of GIS.
Job Duties:
- Create and update GIS data within the Enterprise Geodatabase ArcGIS Online and GIS Portal.
- Support GIS database management including data design multiuser version editing workflows metadata maintenance and QA/QC.
- Perform spatial analysis and geoprocessing tasks to support various projects.
- Develop maps exhibits reports dashboards applications to support decisionmaking.
- Collaborate with teams to provide GIS support across multiple business areas including infrastructure asset management permitting planning transportation construction building operations and disaster recovery.
- Conduct research and gather data from external agencies to enhance GIS datasets.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on GIS tools and applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:Bachelors degree in Geography GIS Environmental Science Computer Science or a related field.
Experience:
- 2 years of experience in GISrelated work.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software suite (ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Online) is required.
- Understanding of cartographic principles and geospatial data management.
- Proficient in Geodatabase design domain subtype versioning editing workflow.
- Familiarity with spatial data formats (e.g. shapefiles geodatabases raster data) and coordinate systems.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.

Education:Masters degree in Geography GIS Environmental Science Computer Science or a related field.
Experience:
- Experience with scripting and automation (Model Builder Python Arcade SQL) for GIS workflows.
- Knowledge of remote sensing Aerial imagery Lidar GIS field data collection and web GIS applications.
- Familiarity with database management (SQL Server TSQL).
General Information
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
FullTime Regular 40 hours per week.
Subject to early mornings late evenings weekends and holidays at times depending upon the project or workload.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience based on 26 pay periods.
Physical Demands and Environmental Exposure:
Most assignments will be performed in an office meeting or operations command center environment but some field work may be required. May be required to work extended work hours during activation of disaster recovery operations for an unspecified length of time (varies based on the extent of the event).
This position requires bending stooping and lifting to 25 lbs. frequent walking standing sitting reaching and ascending/descending stairs.
