About the Team
You will join the School of Mathematical & Computer Sciences at HeriotWatt University in Edinburgh Scotland. The department of Computer Science within the School is internationally renowned for its worldclass research across a number of areas including theoretical computer science robotics natural language processing programming languages AI data science and machine learning.
The department has an extensive portfolio of taught programmes with many programmes taught on three campuses Edinburgh Dubai and Malaysia with global course teams in charge of teaching courses. We also have teaching partnerships with Universities in China and Kazakhstan.

Purpose of Role
We are looking for potentially more than one assistant professor for our Edinburgh campus. We are particularly interested in hiring people with expertise within one or more of the following areas: roboticsartificial intelligence generative AI machine learning natural language processing humancomputer and humanrobot interaction data integration databases knowledge representation parallel and distributed systems programming languages and theoretical computer science.
