Job Description
The Division of Social and Historical Studies (SHS) within the School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences (SIAS) at the University of Washington (UW) Tacoma projects the need for instruction in History during theacademic year. We invite applications for PartTime Lecturers Temporary from individuals with expertise and/or teaching experience in US History. In particular we are seeking instructors for THIST 201: US History since 1877 TCORE 113: Introduction to Social Science and one or two upper division history courses (see list of history courses here: This is a parttime position with quarterly 3month) service periods that begin on September 16 December 16 and March 16.
Days and Times of Instruction and/or Modalities (InPerson Hybrid or Asynchronous Online are to be negotiated with the caveat that online teaching requires certification by the University of Washington.

The base salary range for this position will be $5597 per quarter per 5credit course commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
