Job Description
The University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine Division of Rheumatology is currently recruiting for up to ten fulltime 1.0 FTE) positions at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank on the Clinical Practice Track based at the University of Washington Medical CenterMontlake University of Washington Medical Center Northwest Clinic Roosevelt Clinic and/or Harborview Medical Center. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UWs Faculty Code Section 2434. Positions are available effective January 1 2025. Specific start date is negotiable.
In addition to clinical work teaching scholarship and service are integral to all Clinical Practice positions. The initial appointment period will be three years at a minimum with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multiyear appointments that align with a 12month service period (July 1June 30. Faculty with 12month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12month period (JulyJune) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure.
University of Washington faculty engage in teaching research/scholarship and service. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a nationally recognized clinical program. Duties will include inpatient and outpatient attending service with the responsibility to teach and mentor medical students residents and fellows.
Compensation
Salary
The base salary range will be: $14167 $19000 per month $170004 $228000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice planmay provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H1B visa graduates of foreign (nonU.S. medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
