Your role:
This role is responsible for managing a group of Project Support Managers (PSMs) who are responsible for key tasks essential to support the PM team.
You will oversee the workload of the PSMs allocating duties to each of the team members according to bandwidth and training. In addition you will oversee the growth and development of the team including crosstraining to ensure all tasks within the teams remit are well supported.
You will focus on increasing consistency and best practices including coaching and mentoring of soft skills and project management tools. The role establishes processes and provides direction and support to balance best practices and unique needs of BioReliances UK PMO team. Finally this role promotes clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
A proportion of your role will involve the management of client projects overseeing the timely delivery of biosafety testing and providing excellent communication to our clients.
Who you are:

- People oriented who excels at mentoring and coaching direct reports and stakeholders.
- Clear communicator with strong ability to influence lead and manage a team including messaging for external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize projects and drive teams to collaborative solutions in a timely manner.
- Metric driven actions allowing review of trends and proactive changes.
- Ability to manage clients as needed.
- Excellent fundamental project management and process improvement skills: planning organizing attention to detail managing competing priorities analytical and systems thinking. Preference will be given to candidates with an existing project management certificate (PMI or equivalent).
- Bachelors degree or higherin a relevant Scientific will be given to candidates with post graduate business degree.
- Minimum of two 2 years experience managing complex business commercial or operations projects in Life Science or Pharmaceutical industry
- Experience managing individual contributors is preferred.
- A proactive approach to all aspects of customer service.
