National Honor Society Advisor

Annual Stipend: $3667 $5151
*Stipends will be prorated on advisors availability to fulfill all coaching commitments
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Work with the principal/designee to plan and provide instruction to students as well as resource and leadership services to school where assigned. Communicate with building staff and parents regarding program options plans and student progress. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise functions which extend beyond the normal contractual day. Supervise the equitable selection of the membership and election of officers by following school and association requirements. Supervises officers in planning and implementing all meetings and activities according to school guidelines and association requirements. Supervises all meetings and activities. Assists in planning and organizing fundraising activities following school procedures. Supervises all fundraising activities. Assists officers in preparing and managing a budget for supporting program goals in line with the schools internal accounting procedures. Responsible for all financial aspects of the the preparation of reports and records. Supervises and maintains the constitution and bylaws of the NHS. Regularly review each member for compliance with the NHS standards. Responsible for arranging for transportation and gaining permission for members to participate in incounty and outofcounty activities. Supervises students at district rallies. (Optional: Supervise students at state and national association rallies workshops and conventions. Assists members in preparing for association competitive events. Coordinates all NHS meetings and their proceedings. Assists in distributing NHS communications throughout the school and Community. Helps arrange for chaperones security custodial help and assistance at all appropriate activities. Responsible for the direct daytoday supervision of the chapter and serves as a liaison between faculty administration students and the community. Responsible for maintaining files on membership chapter history and activities. Helps chapter officers understand and carry out their duties. This includes general supervision of the affairs of the chapter making recommendations to the chapter and ensuring that the chapter activities and procedures follow school policy and regulations. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Current Wenatchee School District employee. Current Wenatchee High School certificated employee preferred. Good human relations skills and ability to work as a team player.
