Although located at SEWS Marysville Office
this is a Hybrid position which combines both in office and offsite work.
Associates are required to work at least threedaysin the office
each week but also have the flexibility to work offsite.
Logistics Planner III
BASIC PURPOSE:
- On behalf of SEWS (USA Canada and Mexico) Business Unit Division and locations plan global freight importexport operations via standard (intermodal domestic overland and air freight) and abnormal (expedited air and truck) modes with a focus on QCD vendor cost risk and routing stability.
- Support manager and peers through proactive planning communication countermeasure creation and implementation followup and consistent continuous improvement activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- On behalf of GPP Operations create logistics plans for current standard (global intermodal domestic overland and air freight) mode routes support implementation monitoring countermeasures and reporting of status.
- On behalf of GPP Operations create logistics plans for current abnormal (expedited air and truck) mode routes support implementation monitoring countermeasures and reporting of status.
- On behalf of GPP Operations lead projectbased cost reduction and continuous improvement activities.
- On behalf of GPP Operations plan and manage current and future finished goods packaging (both customer returnable and expendable) work closely with RM and NA packaging Planning members.
- Support Production Control team with providing transportation solutions when necessary.
- Support GPP Operations team functions as directed by the manager
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelors Degree with 5 to 7 years of global supply chain experience required
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite applications (Outlook Excel Word Powerpoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
