Job Description

MI Technical Solutions offers Internships through a partnership with Virginia Space Grant Consortium.

The Commonwealth STEM Industry Internship Program (CSIIP) is an online system where companies select and hire interns from a large pool of prequalified college and university STEM students throughout Virginia. Student applications contain contact information a writing sample a resume transcripts and two references. CSIIP provides a search tool companies can use to find the right candidates. Employers can search CSIIPs database by STEM major skills or distance from their company. Summer internships are usually 10 to 12 weeks long 20 to 40 hours per week at a minimum of $15 per hour. Spring and fall internships may vary in duration and are typically more flexible with schedules. For any questions regarding CSIIP please contact the Virginia Space Grant Consortium at .

MI Technical Solutions college internship opportunity is geared toward student learning through exploration professional development and industry networking. The goal is to further equip and prepare students to work in tech roles as well as build an understanding of how to leverage transferrable skills in various roles. What you can expect in our program is an opportunity to complete a personal project. This project can be used to fulfill academic requirements gain industry insight from career professionals and gain new skills by assisting in the development of other MITS programs. Application process:

  1. Submit resume application via ADP webpage
  2. If selected for an interview you will receive an email response from MI Technical Solutions expressing our interest and next steps
  3. Once an interview is scheduled you will be asked to submit the project proposal within the specified timeframe
  4. Interview with internship candidate

Project Proposal:

As part of the interview process you are asked to submit a project plan to create a product or service leveraging any technology of your choice. The project explanation should provide a highlevel overview of your idea and detail actionable goals tasks and overall outcomes. Your completed project plan should include the following:

  1. 500word maximum explanation of project
  2. Maximum 3 project milestones
  3. Proposed timeline
  4. Primary materials needed

Offers a onestop centralized online internship application system for spring/summer/fall paid internships.

Virginiabased companies are able to search our database of prescreened student applicants to find the best possible candidates for their internships.

Staff can assist in identifying candidates to meet your companys internship needs.

Interns and companies are recognized by the Governor for their participation.

No cost to students or employers to utilize this service. Note: Employer must pay a student if hired.
