The role: Payroll Adviser
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Payroll Adviser to join our team in Sydney. In this role you will work closely with the Payroll Team and will build key internal and external relationships with various stakeholders and auditors.
Daytoday youll be responsible for:
Working with other Payroll Advisers on:
End to end monthly payroll processing for approx 1900 staff:
Calculation of casual timesheets leave overtime etc;
Processing of leave requests and monitoring of leave accruals;
Masterfile data entry;
Verification of all data entry;
Production of all payroll reports;
Month end and year end Chris21 processes; and
Manual and termination payment calculations
Monthly and ad hoc Chris21 and Workday Excel reporting
Monthly overtime billing to Finance
Monthly Payroll reconciliations
Autonomously manage client base and attend to staff queries with highly developed customer service focus
Monthly superannuation reconciliations and payments to super funds
Monthly PAYG reconciliations and payments
Monthly payroll tax reconciliations and payments
Comply with WHS obligations and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements for this role as set out on the intranet
To be successful in this position you will have:
Minimum 5 years experience using Chris21 preferred not limited to
Minimum intermediate level Excel spreadsheeting
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to prioritise workload
Ability to work without direct supervision
Attention to detail
Ability to process a large volume of work accurately and adhering to strict deadlines
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent organisational listening and communication skills
Positive acceptance of direction and new tasks at all times
Enthusiasm and energy
Ability to deal with sensitive issues on a confidential basis
Good understanding of ATO and LSL national legislation
Ability to understand and interpret Awards (LSA & MA in particular)
