Job Description
Horizon Science Academy Primary is looking for a Building Substitute join our team to educate students in grades PreK2. This is a fulltime position. Candidate will report to HSA Primary every school day and will assist or substitute in classrooms as needed. Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly in different circumstances is a must. - Support the schools mission philosophies values goals and policies toward students parents/guardians and coworkers.
- Effectively deliver lessons prepared by classrooms teachers or administration.
- Build rapport with students while maintaining appropriate student behavior.
- Keep the classroom environment organized attractive and safe.
- Aide classroom teachers during instructional activities.
- Interact frequently and respectfully with students.
- Facilitate regular parent/guardian communications and conferences to discuss student needs or concerns.
- Share best practices with other teachers and collaborate with them to improve instructional and assessment practices.
- Highly qualified in content area
- Receptive to feedback and desire to grow professionally
- Has the work ethic and desire to go above and beyond
- Highly organized
- Valid OH Substitute or Teaching certificate/license (or willingness to apply for license)
