The Division of Laboratory Medicine of the Marshfield Clinic Health System in Marshfield WI is seeking an enthusiastic and teamoriented fulltime boardcertified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to join our practice. This role will be 100 surgical pathology sign out at the main Marshfield campus in Marshfield Wisconsin.
Although the positions require general surgical pathology signout expertise a specialty focus and fellowship is preferred.
Call 1:6 weekends and 1:7 weeknight. Call usage is slim and from home.
Autopsies minimal 510/year split within the department.
You will be joining a laboratory team that includes nearly 20 pathologists located in four communities in central and northern Wisconsin and extending into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our pathology specialists have expertise in cytopathology dermatopathology gastrointestinal pathology hematopathology infectious disease pathology nephron pathology neuropathology/ neuromuscular pathology cardiovascular pathology and transfusion medicine and are supported by 2 PhD clinical laboratory scientists.
The Pathology Department accessions approximately 50000 surgical cases each year and maintains onsite ancillary diagnostic services including a broad immunohistochemical menu and transmission electron microscopy Academic affiliations with regional universities and research opportunities in collaboration with the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute are encouraged.

Job Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Minimum Required: MD or DO degree from accredited medical school and completion of residency training at a certified Pathology residency program.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in laboratory medicine. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse physicians and medical staff groups.
Preferred/Optional: Three years experience as practicing pathologist and/or subspecialty training with prior laboratory directorship experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s) certification(s) registration(s) etc. are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology or Clinical Pathology. License to practice medicine in the State of Wisconsin
